The Association was involved in three full days of activities during two DivAirCity Project events which took place between the 15th and 17th of May in the Municipality of Orvieto.
The European consortium partners were welcomed in the Nuova Biblioteca Pubblica Luigi Fumi, a beautiful historical building in the Orvieto medieval city centre. The Project meeting focused on the state of the art of the interventions in the five DivAirCity cities, and it was exciting to see how the pilots are shaping after such a long work and time. The Twinning Programme started on day 2 and kicked off with an introduction of the twinning cities. The Twinning Programme is a replication and knowledge-sharing mechanism, aiming at setting up global collaborative partnerships across urban topics in line with the project of DivAirCity.

UniverCities led and organised the Twinning Programme Launch which involved over 60 professionals from 5 continents. The 5 DivAirCity pilot cities were paired with 20 cities, with at least 1 being from out of Europe. The representatives of the 25 cities, met both in person and online and were immersed in a series of working sessions on: inclusive co-creation & citizen engagement, urban data & data gaps, air pollution and nature-based solutions. The enriching and heterogeneous feedback proved to be a valid start for a collaboration that will be consolidated in the following 12 months.
